Week Of Horror Day 5 – Laura Wilson

Laura is an English Actress and is new to us at Lestat Horror.. We asked her to join in our week of horror fun

Okay – Favourite horror movie is ‘Triangle’ (2009 Dir. Christopher Smith). I am fascinated by loop holes in time and the thought of history continously repeating itself, and, this film just hits the nail on the head. I’m not sure if it is technically classed as a horror movie, but it has all the elements and it terrifies me each time I watch it. It’s my favourite when I introduce it to friends who’ve never seen it. Everytime it finishes, we have a long discussion about the film and it gets me thinkingĀ  EVERY SINGLE TIME.

My scariest horror movie is ‘The Descent’ (2005 Dir. Neil Marshall). It’s probably really cliche but the thought of being trapped somewhere, lost and unable to find my way out horrifies me. I would have chosen Titanic for this, but I’m not sure it classifies as a horror! Add in the element of the creatures that can smell you and hear you from a great distance away and you’ve got a classic horror creature feature.

It’s very typical in the horror style – a group of friends go to a cabin in the woods have a great first night and then it all kicks off the next day. I love it! On a seperate note, I actually used to teach caving at a kids outdoor pursuit centre and it was a lot of fun. I’m not sure what happened between then and watching The Descent, but safe to say, I have never been down in a cave since!!
